"the book" that caught my eye.

Friday morning. 6am. Still not the mood to go home and I just dont know why I don't have the urge to go home early. I think it was just one of those days that I want to stay out of the house. hmm. Stayed at the office, since some of my colleagues are still present and working on something, while I was messing around them - hehehe - had breakfast with them. After and hour or so of staying late at the office, we all went home.

On my way home, a friend coaxed me to meet him at Ayala MRT station and have breakfast together. Since I'm still not in the mood to go home, I did met up with him. First plan was to ate at McDonald's but we ended up at KFC :) Chat to the max, exchanges of stories and making sure that we will watch the Harry Potter 7 together this coming weekend. Talked about his bestfriend - my long overdue date! hahaha. oh well, hopefully that date will happen soom. We ended up the conversation past 11 in the morning. We parted ways.

I passed thru the Malls in Ayala. Went inside the department store for a while to check out some clothes and moved on since its already about noon and I should rest my head. However, I really have to make this stop at a book for less store. And glad thing that I did. A particular book caught my eye - hardbound, with a profile of a woman focusing on the lips as the cover and titled "The Lady, the Chef, and the Courtesan". I flipped it over and read the summary at the back and the inside page and there I read "According to a Latin American proverb, in order for a woman to discover her power over men, she must learn to be a lady in the living room, a chef in the kitchen, and a courtesan in the bedroom. After perfecting the grace and elegance of each, a woman will ultimately understand her own potential in life, and the command she has over everyone around her, including herself" - that paragraph really intrigued me so I did not let go of the book and try to look for another one since the book is 2 for 99pesos only. Luckily, I found another interesting book by Candace Bushnell - The Lipstick Jungle.

So after paying for the book, I went home. And started reading some pages of it. Will tell you more about it, once I'm done reading the book!

Just a thought...more of a Question...

When you think the world is falling down on you? What do you do to stay on top of everything else...to stay sane and be able to face all things going on at once...to say "I can do this on my own"? How? These are most common questions that we ask ourselved whenever faced with atrocities in life. That sometimes you just want to succumb to its power and just be a total failure.

I do feel this. Right Now.

And as I wrote this, I've been going back and forth with my thoughts on how I can get out of this mess and what I will do next.

Hay...

Life...why do you have to be so complex?
