Buds' Birthday Bash

My good friend Buds turned XX years this month. But since he opted to celebrate his birthday travelling alone to a foreign country, he asked us - Tristan, Lucille and me - to have a post dinner celebration last Sunday June 26, 2011.

Evening of June 26, 7pm but most of us arrived at about 8pm...Dinner at MESA in Greenbelt 5. But before we all met, Buds had a funny situation.he saw his boss and doesn't want to bumped on him so he literally hid himself at the bathroom! paranoid much! On my way to MESA, I saw Tristan and we already asked a table for the four of us. We waited for Buds and Lucille to arrive. After a few minutes Buds, came out of his hiding place and joined us at our table. We alread placed our orders - Laing in two ways, Inihaw Platter, Spicy Seafood Platter, Crispchon, Rice, and Drinks.

Still waiting for Lucille, we took more picture of the feast we were about to dig in! Buds posed in front of our big feast before we ruin the presentation

happy birthday Buds!

Lucille, arrived a few minutes after the photo-opt so we started digging in. Food was superb. We all enjoyed the night of laughter & catching up. Mood of the night was light and breezy. Our attending waiter, Chuck, was very enthusiactic, so we kinda liked their service because of him, not to mention he is cute! ahahaha

To cap off the night we have two new lesson we learned...That "32 is the new 28" as according to buds and "hot water is new cosmopolitan"

Just to update you guys of the progress of the list I made a few months ago. Last May 16, I was able to cross out list number 21-having a pet dog. Because from that day forward, I have Nala Desierae with me :) She is an adorable, tri-colored dog, who is very full of life and can zap the energy out of me! haha

Industrial Automation General Assembly

Last Monday, June 13, 2011 we, at Emerson Electric Asia - ROHQ Industrial Automation Division had our General Assembly at Crowne Plaza, lead by Jean-Paul Montupet, VP for Industrial Automation. The function started promptly at 5:30 in the afternoon.

Official Invite

Since I am, again, part of the events committee, I was at the banquet hall at around 1pm to start on checking the preparation progress. Everything is going as planned so we were quite happy about it. So come 4pm I started fixing myself for the party, need to glam up a bit for the event. I had my hair fixed early on and I went to my new found friend working in L'Oreal Paris and did my make-up for the night.

my look for the night

The party started promptly at 530pm with Em and Frances as the hosts of the night. To signal the start of the program a video was projected-this video represents the effort of the management team to provide accurate and reliable customer service, then followed by a dance number. Part of the program was the welcome remark from our Business Leader Mareecel Dimaapi and also an introduction by our Operations Manager Emmanuel Beltran. This was soon followed by the open buffet and the Performance Awards - which was a suprise to all employees.

Performance Awardees

One by one employees were called and were presented with a Certificate of Achievement for being one of the Top Performers for the second quarter for the fiscal year 2011.

Me, receiving my Certificate

I was surprised to be called and to be presented with this award. Thanks to the management for recognizing my efforts as an Emerson Employee

The night ended with an uplift spirit. Thanks for the encouragement of the management. :)

Brigada Eskwela

June 4, 2011

We have this organization at my present work who handles social responsibility related program. Last Saturday the volunteers headed to Batangas to help in this year's Brigada Eswela - DepEd's program inviting all volunteer to help prepare classroom for the school year 2011-2012. So after our shift, we boarded the vans, hit the road and headed towards NAVERA School in Batangas City.

After an hour and a half ride, we arrived at Navera wherein all the teachers welcomed us warmly. We wasted no time and started with the chores assigned to us. Some went on repainting the walls, some, started cleaning the school grounds, others went into gardening, the boys started digging the compost pit, and I started fixing broken chairs.

The day passed by quickly and before we knew it, there's nothing left for us to do. So we just basked around the school grounds, took photos - a lot of photos, mess with everybody. Just bond and have fun. Then we were surprised that before the program commemorated, the teachers at Navera presented us with certificate recognizing our help in preparing their school for the school year.
