I have fallen in love
I Have Fallen In Love
Lyrics by Ninoy Aquino
Music by Jose Mari Chan
I have fallen in love
With the same woman three times
In a day spanning nineteen years
Of tearful joys and joyful tears.
I loved her first when she was young
Enchanting and vibrant, eternally new
She was brilliant, fragrant and cool
As the morning dew.
I fell in love with her the second time
When first she bore her child and mine
Always by my side, the source of my strength
Helping to turn the tide.
But there were candles to burn
The world was my concern
While our home was her domain
And the people were mine
While the children were hers to maintain.
So it was in those eighteen years and a day
Till I was detained
Forced in prison to stay.
Suddenly she’s our sole support
Source of comfort
Our wellspring of hope
On her shoulders fell the burden of life.
I fell in love again
With the same woman the third time
Looming from the battle
Her courage will never fade.
Amidst the hardships she has remained
Undaunted and unafraid
She is calm, composed
She is God’s lovely maid.

This is a poem written by the late Ninoy Aquino for her wife, former President Corazon Aquino
I just want to share this...

All Too Soon
was thinking about what happened recently in life. i just thought that it happened all too soon. sooner than i expected. the "it" im talking about was something to do with my current relationship. i knew for a fact that everyone in the family will oppose this relationship and we were preparing for it, but the revelation happened all too soon that we have to put down our battleship first in order to device a new and better plan.
both of us does not want to give up the relationship we just started recently just like that. what we did was just to lie-low. i know he loves me, i can feel that, but he needs to prove to my family that he is worth their trust, and i believe he can do that, im just giving him the time to do so.
we are joking about it, we are modern romeo and juliet! hahaha though i havent heard from his family yet, but rumors has it that they too are mad at me, but he told me they aren't. its just some people does not know how to mind their own business and kept on ruining others just to prove their point.
i am fighting for this, because i believe in it and so does he. we just have to be brave and ready for anything.
loving someone is never always a cloud-nine.

mga nakakalokang pangyayari
its been a while since my last post (na naman!) hindi sa tamad ako magpost, wala lang talaga time. sa dami nang nangyari sa akin for the past month. rollercoaster ride kaya! and i was wondering pano ko nakayanan lahat ng yun! oh well here's a glimpse of what happened to me. pucha, my last post here pala was the poem i wrote out of heartache! its been months, im OK now...walang halong kaplastikan yan ha! so eto na...
* few days after the breakup, i summed up all my courage to face our common friends at a wedding ceremony. na on the spot gospel reading pa ako nun, buti na lang i was so glammed up wearing black and red ensemble. hahaha. so after the wedding, mega smile naman ako sa reception though napansin ng mga friends na im not eating. at after nun, super gusto ko na umuwi dahil im in so much pain, seeing him flirting! my gawd, what a pain in the heart! but still, they didn't let me go, they dragged me to a hotel room rented by the newlyweds for an extra celebration with friends. there i got so drunk badly and the rest was history.
* after the breakup i diverted my attention to some physical activity. as in medyo rigorous physical activity ito. i was connected to an outdoor group. so ayun, mountaineer ang effect ko. akyat bundok. island hoping. as in outdoor junkie lang talaga. kaya imagine my complexion! hahaha. there was a month nga na i was in the beach for four weekends straight! twice in camarines sur at anawangin. so ayun! gala galore ang ginawa ko just to divert my attention
* siyempre inom dito, inom dun...mga tomador yung mga mountaineer na nakilala ko eh
* kala ko tuloy-tuloy na yung pag join ko sa outdoor group na sinasamahan ko. but then again something happened, a bad thing happened. gender sensitivity issues. so ayun. that made me decide not to push through joining them, nagkabastusan na eh. tapos, just recently i've learned that i was a test of character daw! WTF!
* wala pa ako balak pumasok sa relasyon, but someone so persistent knocked me down! so ayun, currently BF ko siya. but now i'm experiencing a lot of pain just because i chose to be in this relationship. people had judged him based on his physicality and status in life. hindi naman nila alam yung totoo. hay. hirap talaga ng ganun!
so ayun, so far, roller coaster talaga. a week of joy and happiness then a week of pain and suffering!
life oh life!

Boracay Escapade
November 25-27, 2007
Attendees: Rose and Hana
At last long-made plan to Boracay pushed through. Amidst all the typhoons: Lando at Mina, I was not disappointed at all; still I had a blast at the beautiful white-beach of Boracay with my dear friend Hana!
Nov. 25, 9:05am Flight to Kalibo Aklan, on board Cebu Pacific we arrived earlier than expected. Weather's still fine. Approached by the porters in Kalibo Airport who offered Van for hire to Caticlan Port, inclusive of boat ride na for only Php 200.00. About an hour and a half land trip to Caticlan Port, then another less than 20minutes boat ride to Boracay Port Area 1. Followed by another 20minutes land trip to Pearl of the Pacific Hotel, where we checked in for the duration of our stay. Our Bora experience started. tik tak tik tak...
We put down our luggages to the hotel room, freshen up and we headed straight to the shore. Inspecting the whole shoreline of Bora, we walked our way through "d'mall" and checked out the gimik arena. Bora being popular by its nightlife, we can't wait to experience it. Though weather is not that good, still we made the most out of it.
Since we are tired dur to the trip, we retired early to our hotel room and spent the night watching TV and planning what to do the following day to make our stay productive.
Nov. 26. Second day. Putting on our swimsuits, applying on sunblock for protection, last check on the mirror, we headed to the beach front and survey the place. Meeting people lounging in the shoreline. Enjoying a hearty breakfast provided by the hotel. And simply enjoying the sun, the sand and the sea. That's the life at Bora. Walking again along the seashore and observing the beach life. Had our hennas. Extending our exploration to "d' palengke" looking for some trinkets. It was an experience. Met a rottweiler, domestic pet of one of the local; named sally (i think), the dog was so nice and behave and cudly..hehe. Picture by the sand castle, pictures of other guests doing water sports...what a life! Dining and drinking at the Bamboo Lounge, they served the best Tequilla Sunrise and Vodka Tonic! and a very spicy sisig (yum yum)
Nov. 27. Third and Last day. Enjoying the beach for the last time. Playing around the sand and doing some sand castles (as if we know how to!) playing along the shore and taking a lot of pictures as in picture galore, making sure that we maxed out the allowed space of my digicam; ending with about 400 pictures.
As we packed our bags. We swore that we will be back by next year. The place is very relaxing. Very rejuvenating. Definitely I had a peace of mind. The kind of thing thatI've been longing for. That is why I'm really planning to go back there!

Sagada Trip
December 15-19, 2006 TRIP
Attendees: Rose, Millet, Chickie, Kate, Mace, Cherry, Mina
First time to visit Sagada Province.
First impression: WOW! Ang LAMIG!
Stop-over at Baguio before traveling to Sagada Province. Touring Baguio City for the Nth time, going to the strawberry fields, digging ukay-ukay shops (thrift shops) at session road, and exploring Baguio puclic market.
Early morning travel to Sagada, on board a mini bus, traversing the steep road to Sagada. It was very cold, but the view was very breathtaking. Setting foot for the first time in Sagada after the 6hours grueling mini bus travel was an energy booster. First thing to do upon arrival was to register at the local Barangay hall and to arrange your travel course with the local guide.
First day, we bum around. Checking the local store, restuarants, other things we can do, and of course getting familiar with the weather. Second day, we went caving. As first timers, of course we don't know what to expect. During the course, we were warned of bat poops, very wet and sticky, you wouldn't know its their poop because it blends with the mud, better wear gloves if you don't want to be sorry. Inside the cave, be prepared to be wet, for a little climbing action, rapelling, and to see different rock formations. Second thing we did was to visit the hanging coffins of the ancient tribes found in the province and the same tradition is still being perform up to this time.
Second day, we explore further, going to a falls. Dare to swim with that cold breeze? I don't think so, but some people do so jsut to experience the cold rush. Then went to visit the weaving stores.
Sad to say that we have to leave too soon. We didn't got the chance to visit the pottery and other areas.
Also, while in Sagada don't forget to visit "mama sagada youghart house" yummy!

A Travelogue
The next following post will be a recollection of my previous outdoor trips. Places I’ve been to and people I’ve been with during those escapades.
I want this site to be as informative as possible. A travel diary where in I can creatively and passionately describe the places I’ve been to and places I’m planning to go to. I want to give justice through words the beauty that our Creator has made for us.

Rekindled Love
Early this year, I've lost what I thought was my life but then again I managed to regain myself and discovered a lost love - my love for outdoor activities.
Back in the days, where in I would spend my summer months in my mother's hometown, I remember that the only thing I do was to bum around, enjoying mother nature at its best. Loving the terrain of the Philippines, I swore to myself that before i explore other places, I would see to it that I will explore the entire (hopefully) Philippines first.
2006. I explored Sagada province with my friends. I so loved the place. The cools breeze that damps you face is very electrifying. Views that would leave you in awe.
2007. With the same set of friends, we planned a north luzon exploration. Toured Ilocos Norte are. We visited Laoag, Pagudpod and Vigan. Was able to see the wind turbines, the vast sea of Pagudpod, the famous light tower, Marcos' shrine, the Malacanang of the North, the lovely old city of Vigan, different museums and the old churches around the area. Also, before the year ends, I was able to visit, for the first time, the prestigious shore of Boracay with another friend, Hana.
2008. One day trek at Mt. Pinatubo. We've done the long trail, it was about 2-3hours walk under the sun. After the very tiring walk on the trail came the breathtaking view of the crater. It really took away all of my tiredness.
2009. Thanks to a friend, was able to meet an outdoor group. I was introduced to the art of mountaineering and beachineering. It was a whole new thing for me.
So because of this, my passion for outdoor activities was given a new spark.

Limbo
I’m halfway there, and then I am not
I thought I had it but I didn’t
I’m lost
I’m in limbo
In between things
That I myself
Can’t explain
A part of me lingers
But a voice says no
I’m torn
I’m in limbo
In between acceptance
And denial
Don’t know where to turn
Don’t know where to go
Must go on
Must move on
To where
That I don’t know…

Mt. Cristobal Traverse (Feb 7-8, 2009) (my blog from another forum, posted Feb.9)
share ko lang ang experience ko with Mt.Cristobal hindi po ako professional mountaineer...actually it was my first ever climb, as in first climb, first mountain (hope not to be the last) nagkaroon kasi ng open invitation ang isang group na nakita ng friend ko thru another forum yung OUTDOOR ADDICTS na group they encouraged us to join them on this hike/traverse..hindi naman nila nilihim na mahirap ang trail but they assured us na they will help us...and they really did! prep for the mountain traverse: saturday.
feb7. meeting time 3am sa buendia 7/11...nakaalis kami mga 5am na....bus ride to san pablo laguna...after 30min or an hour jeep ride to the foot of the mountain....by 9am we started to climb...it was raining kaya super muddy yung trail and we did not took the traditional trail...on the way up, nasira ang sole ng rubber shoes ko (matagal na kasi yun kaya nag retire na din ata) so, doble hirap sa akyat kasi wala nang spike ang shoes ko....despite that akyat pa din...willpower talaga ang katapat! since it was raining so hard and newbie ako sa pag akyat...naiiwan ako lagi sa sweeper pack....ginagawa namin sa sweeper pack to keep the spirit alive was to sing and kwentuhan ng kahit ano...so pag akyat inabot kami ng night time sa trail....at uber na sa lamig, kasi bukod sa ulan ang tindi din ng hangin, temp est ko is between 10-15 degrees siya....nakarating kami sa summit mga 8 or 9pm na....the another 30minute walk to campsite....sa campsite nag try pa magkaroon ng "socials" but since super lakas talaga ng rain at almost everybody wants to rest in their own tents...hindi na masyado natuloy ang socials...though may nag inuman pa din...sa tent namin, 4 girls kami...dikit dikit kami natulog kasi sobrang lamig, body heat talaga ang panlaban...hehe.... the morning after: sunday.
feb8. we woke up at around 6am....the coffee was delivered to out tent thanks to our kuyas of OUTDOOR ADDICTS (sorry nakalimutan ko mga names nung iba...) then followed by breakfast (rice, longganisa, fish fillet at soup) sosyal na group of mountaineers, nag luluto sila at may designated cook sila...again the food was delivered to our tent kasi wala pa talaga kami lakas na lumabas dahil sa sobrang lamig, thanks to jim at jan! so ayun, after the breakfast, nag yaya yung ibang group na kasama namin sa pack (happy campers-pat, jon, sir jod, at aldwin) na pumunta sa summit to take pictures....so sama kami...may rain pa din at lakas ng hangin at ang shus ko...ayun naka ngiwi na!!! pano na lang ako pag baba....after taking pictures balik campsite, alok ng inom (gin at ice tea) tapos yun na socials namin, picture taking galore...lunch time, still nasa campsite kami, chicken teriyaki courtesy of the group's cook, kuya don... naman ang ulam, yum yum talaga! at may espresso pa kami na gawa ni mike...bumaba kami using the traditional trail at im praying talaga na kayanin siya ng shoes ko...luckily nakababa naman ako kahit na ilang beses ako nadulas at yung isang beses ay gumulong pa talaga ako near bangin which is nakakatakot...in the end pinagtawanan na lang namin yung nangyari.....lalu na ng "grawpings" at kinantahan pa nila ako.... charge to experience talaga....
thanks to OUTDOOR ADDICTS at HAPPY CAMPERS...i really enjoyed my traverse...im hoping talaga na hindi ako madadala sa pag sama sa inyo (mukhang hindi hehe) thanks to shey, ever, jim, mike & wilson (ang official dog at mascot ng group), at specially sa gwapings aka bart, john at alex! at sa happy campers
