June 29, 2010. Lunch time. Channel browsing while eating my lunch, I stopped at PBO channel (yes! I know! but it was a classic movie). The movie was in the already onto its mid-part. I said it was classice because it was the 1986 movie of Mars Ravelo's Captain Barbell. Isn't that a classic? Herbert Bautista played the role of Teng-teng and his counter ego Captain Barbell (CB) was played by Edu Manzano; with the special appearance of Sharon Cuneta as DARNA!
Funny thing was, memories from my childhood came rushing as I watched the movie with my mom and I even remembered old establishments that were there during my childhood within the neighborhood: the lugawan, the bakalan...everything. Seeing the movie again let me think of the changes that happened around me as I grew up.
Come to think of, I was only 4years old when this movie was first shown. CB was the pinoy version of superman :)
It just so nice to look back from time to time and be able to appreciate what happened to me be it good or bad because it helped me to be who I am now...
