Soon to Wed

I am not getting married. ok! ...NOT YET...

I am looking for various wedding suppliers from bridal gowns to hotels and everything in between when it comes to preparing for that special occasion. Why? because I am a wedding planner. Togerther with my friends Millet and Chickie, we've been coordinating wedding for years now - from the day-itself-wedding coordination to full wedding coordination. So far, so good. We started doing this for friends then came referrals.

Currently we are working on an out-of-town wedding this coming April 2011. Since the couple is both out of the country. All of our communication with them (thru Millet) is via web conference. The church is already booked, already have a caterer in mind, so far we are finalizing the hotel to pre-wedding preparation, the reception after the wedding ceremony and of course everything in between - Hair and Makeup (HMU), fashionable wedding ensemble for the bride and groom along with the entire entourage, florist, photog and video, invites, etc. Currently I am responsible for collecting details of the possible suppliers.

As I search for new and innovative wedding details and ideas I've come across several cute and unique ideas; new ways of celebrating I DO's. Just like the couple you recently got hitched that they had their "recess" (reception) at a fast-food chain that they love. Kudos to Roger and Noemi

Ordering their first meal as HUSBAND and WIFE

I also find it very artsy to personalize most of the wedding details as much as possible just like what Eyzel and Angelo did for their wedding cord (congratualtions in advance to them!)

And other personal stuff like the garter garter to be worn by the Bride, thank you cards "will you be" invitations, menu card, program flow, etc.

The best part of doing this research is that I can come up with my own idea, my own look for a one unique wedding.

(thanks to the newlyweds and couples to wed for sharing their stories, truly inspirational)
